Rocanini Coffee Roasters

The Space

I visited the W. Boulevard location numerous times and I’ve enjoyed every single visit. The baristas are friendly! If you have questions about coffee feel free to strike up a conversation because they have a lot to say. During my first visit I spoke to the general manager and one of the staff and it was honestly so much fun. We talked about our favourite Cafes in Vancouver and talked about Rocanini’s coffee program (which has a very interesting natural processed Ethiopia). What I like about this Café is that in the area, it’s the only one of its kind. The team here creates a great vibe by using white and wood as the main theme then add orange as their kicker of an accent colour.

The Offering

Here’s why this Café is unique to the area. They serve pour overs and well done espresso based drinks. In addition, they have rolled out different brewing options for Aeropress and Syphon. I’m glad that there is a Café like this in the Kerrisadale area because sometimes I need to grab a cup of coffee and I would rather go out of the way for a good cup of Coffee than concede to the bigger coffee chains.

My suggestion: Nothing like a punchy Kenya in the morning or afternoon or whenever! If you want to go for something a little different then go for their Natural processed Ethiopia. This process makes the coffee beans themselves have a more pungent smell and transforms the taste to more blueberry notes versus tea like flavor notes.

The Verdict

Going for a Coffee Chat (or date *wink wink*), then I suggest this Café. It’s pretty convenient as it runs along 41 and can be easily accessed. I really enjoyed my time in this Café and I recommend you try this if you’re in the Kerrisdale area. Where will coffee take me next? #CwC
